D.A.M Straight - Every Month Counts!
November is Diabetes Awareness Month…but in reality, every month should be D.A.M. (not DAMN!). The ultimate goal is to learn how to take care of your diabetes easily with minimal disruption, and have it become an integrated part of your everyday life. After 55+ years living with the condition, I’ve learned a few things, so we’re bringing you articles that focus on living well. I’m sharing my personal story of how I’ve managed to stay healthy, happy, active, and productive. No matter which type of diabetes you have (and there are 10 types!), becoming educated is important. We’re also sharing insider tips on how to psych out your doctor to get what you need, along with a Thanksgiving survival guide - although no advice on how to avoid the food coma!

TCOYD Community Quote of the Month
|
"I’m postmenopausal and have had type 1 for about 13 years. The TCOYD podcast inspired me to have a DXA scan, which showed osteopenia. I’m happy to know so that I can take action now. All of your podcasts have been super informative. I love that you both have personal and medical experience with type 1. It’s easier to laugh at the challenges when I know you’ve been there too."
